This policy describes how SocialKosher works at launch. It’s a draft and will be reviewed before the app is released on the App Store and Google Play.
The short version
- Nothing you see is sent to our servers. Every post, Story and reel is checked inside the app. Photos, videos and posts are never uploaded to us.
- We never see your Instagram or Facebook password. You log in to Instagram and Facebook as usual.
- We count what was hidden, like how many posts and for which level, so we can keep the filter working well. These counts never include the content or who posted it.
- There’s no SocialKosher account. We don’t ask for your name, email or phone number.
What we never collect
- Photos, videos, posts, Stories, reels, captions or messages you see on Instagram or Facebook.
- Who posted anything, or who you follow.
- Your Instagram or Facebook username, password or login details.
- Your name, email address or phone number.
What we do collect
Filter counts. How many items were checked and hidden, for which level or rule (for example “swimwear”), where in the app (feed, Stories, Reels or Explore) and on which day. We use them to see that the filter works well and to improve it. They’re sent without your name or your Instagram or Facebook account.
Setup counts. Which setup screens were completed, so we can make setting up easier.
Reports you choose to send. If you use “Something slipped through?”, we receive only what you pick: who was in it, what it showed and where it was. Never the picture.
Your choices stay in the app. Your levels and your answers during setup are kept in the app, so it can filter the way you asked.
Subscriptions
Apple or Google handles payment, through the App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, never your card details. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account at any time.
Instagram and Facebook
SocialKosher shows Instagram’s and Facebook’s own websites inside the app. You log in on Instagram or Facebook, and they keep you signed in. What you do on Instagram and Facebook is also covered by their own privacy policies. SocialKosher is independent and not affiliated with Instagram, Facebook or Meta.
Children
SocialKosher isn’t meant for children under 13.
Deleting your information
Uninstalling the app removes your settings. Filter counts are sent without your name or account, so they can’t be traced back to you.
