These terms describe SocialKosher at launch. They’re a draft and will be reviewed before the app is released on the App Store and Google Play.
The short version
- SocialKosher filters what you see on Instagram and Facebook, at the levels you choose.
- No automated filter is perfect. Something may occasionally get through or be hidden by mistake.
- Subscriptions go through the App Store or Google Play, and you can cancel there at any time.
What SocialKosher is
SocialKosher is an app that shows Instagram and Facebook through a filter you set yourself. It’s independent and not affiliated with Instagram, Facebook or Meta. To use it you need your own Instagram or Facebook account, and you agree to follow Instagram’s and Facebook’s own terms.
How the filter works
Every post, Story and reel is checked before it’s shown, and anything that doesn’t meet the levels you chose is left out. Explicit content is always removed. We work hard to make the filter accurate, but no automated filter is perfect: occasionally something may get through, or something fine may be hidden. If that happens, tell us with “Something slipped through?” in the app.
Subscriptions
SocialKosher is a paid subscription, yearly or monthly, bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment. It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account, and the subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow Apple’s or Google’s policies.
Fair use
Use SocialKosher for yourself, and don’t try to copy, take apart or misuse the app.
Liability
SocialKosher is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for content shown by Instagram or Facebook, or for losses from using the app.
